Part Family

Batch-cut steel plate parts.

Repeat profiles and mixed batches introduce a different procurement problem: production method, nesting, shared edges, traceability, inspection sampling, labeling and packing have to work together without turning a single video throughput claim into a blanket promise.

Batch Planning

What needs to be confirmed before a production-rate claim matters?

Piece count alone is not enough. Loading, preheat, piercing, cutting, deslagging, inspection and handling may sit outside a filmed sequence.

Part mixOne repeated profile and a mixed nest have different programming, identification and inspection requirements.
Nesting ruleCommon-edge or multi-torch strategies are process choices, not automatic savings percentages.
TraceabilityDefine what must stay linked to heat, plate, batch, part mark or packing list.
Inspection planCritical features, sampling level and measurement method should match the batch risk.
PackagingReceiving sequence, weight, pallet/crate limits and labels can influence how a batch is grouped.
Throughput evidenceProduction-rate claims require a defined denominator, time boundary and comparable process conditions.

Describe the batch, not only the total quantity.

Include part count, number of profiles, material, thickness, size, critical features, marking/traceability need, packing requirement and destination.
