Drilling & machining for plate parts.

Use this route when the finished part requires more than a thermal-cut profile: drilled features, milling, boring or machined interfaces. Public capability is stated only where the operation, responsibility, working envelope and inspection method are verified for the project.

When Machining Matters

Thermal cutting and machining solve different feature requirements.

Hole size, positional accuracy, bearing surfaces, bores, threads and datum relationships may require a post-cut machining route.

Hole / bore definitionDiameter, depth, tolerance, position and finish requirement determine whether cutting, drilling or boring is appropriate.
Machined surfacesIdentify faces, pockets, slots or datums that need machining after the plate profile is cut.
Setup + part sizeWorking envelope and fixturing are reviewed against the real part before a capability range is committed.
InspectionCritical machined features should identify the required measurement method and acceptance criteria.
Published machining videos can illustrate real operations, but the exact size range, setup and inspection requirement are confirmed against the project.
